What DMW wrote to school districts that still have Refuge bans in place
As many know, in 2018 there was a flurry of field trip bans to the Refuge occasioned by visits from emissaries from Rocky Mountain Peace & Justice. As of January 2026, neither Jefferson County schools nor Denver Public Schools have bans in place (DPS did in the past), but the following still DO:
- Boulder Valley School District
- Westminster: (no response to two emails)
- Adams 12 Five Star Schools
- Adams County School District 14
- St. Vrain Valley School District
